Dan Del Negro

Dan Del Negro came to Hawai`i to play “Miss Saigon” at the Blaisdell Concert Hall. He fell in love with the islands, and moved to back in 2000. Since then, Dan has become an active part of Hawaii’s music scene. He did most of the keyboard and drum tracks on Sean Na`auao’s Hoku award-winning album “Progression”; and played and wrote two songs on the Honolulu Jazz Quartet’s Na Hoku Hanohano Award-nominated album “Sounds of the City.” In the “house band” for the Hawai`i International Jazz Festival , Dan played with Herbie Mann, Eric Marienthal, Nestor Torres, Tiger Okoshi, Gabe Balthazar, David Choy, Jimmy Borges, Scott Martin, and Larry Coryell. With the Matt Catingub Orchestra of Hawai`i in 2007 and 2008, Dan backed up artists such as Natalie Cole, Michael McDonald, Kenny Loggins, Aaron Neville, Lucy Arnaz, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Amy Hanaiali`i, HAPA, Keali`i Reichel, Na Leo, and Cecelio and Kapono, Jimmy Borges, Anita Hall and Sonya Mendez, as well as the keyboardist and music director of Hawaii’s top show/dance group “Paradise and Company.”
Combining a lifelong interest in spirituality and music, Dan is music director at Windward Unity and Center For Spiritual Living-Windward O`ahu, and has just released his first New Thought / Positive Music album, Feel the Presence”.
