Rich Crandall

Rich’s musical sojourn started in Chicago, then onto Honolulu via San Francisco in 1975. His recordings include “Solo Travel” as solo piano and “Soothsayer,” “Til Further Notice” and “Innerville” with the Rich Crandall Trio. In 1997, he initiated the Studio 6 weekly jazz sessions at the Musicians’ Association of Hawaii, which featured Hawaii’s most prominent jazz artists and singers. The jazz sessions ran an astounding ten years. Rich has performed with Freddie Hubbard, Ernestine Anderson, Howard Roberts, Sadao Watanabe, Henry Mancini and others. Today, Rich is one of Honolulu’s most popular solo artists offering tender and easy listening renditions of popular standards,as well as sophisticated stylings of jazz for which he is so well-known.
